We build vinyl bulkheads throughout Texas and Louisiana.
Vinyl bulkheads are the longest lasting and most durable type of bulkhead. They are resistant to mold, rot, corrosion, and wood-boring insects. Vinyl sheet pilings made of a durable, UV-protected PVC are the main component of vinyl bulkheads.
If you have already lost property due to erosion, you may be able to get it back. We can help you regain your lost land by building your bulkhead on your original property line (in the water) and then regaining your usable land by filling it in with the proper soil type. You should check your local regulations and ordinances related to land reclamation.
No project is too big or too small. Our bulkhead builders have the knowledge and equipment to build any bulkhead, at any height or length, from land or from water. Call 800-951-1772 or submit an inquiry online for a free estimate on your vinyl bulkhead project.
Vinyl Bulkhead Materials
Bulkhead designs have been perfected over many years, and most bulkheads are built in the same way. They typically use the same basic components listed below, although some are built slightly differently to account for unique conditions or uses:
Vinyl Sheet Piling
"Deadmen" (Treated wood posts or timbers buried land-side behind the bulkhead to support the wall)
Tie Rods w/ Nuts & Washers (Used to connect the deadmen to the bulkhead)
Front Wale (A timber on the water side of the bulkhead that keeps it straight)
Back Board, or Back Wale (Treated timber on the back side of the bulkhead with a similar purpose to the front wale)
Hardware (screws, lag screws, bolts, nuts, & washers)
Top Cap (An optional but recommended piece of treated lumber that improves the aesthetics of your bulkhead and provides a nice place to sit.)
